• Banned: Banned.
• Unverified: Accounts that haven't had their email address verified yet.
• User/Member: A normal account.
• Group Member: Member of a group.
• Group Leader: Leader of a group, this requires at least one chapter to be scanlated and for you to claim your group via the group page. This role gives you basic editing rights for manga pages.
• Contributor: This means you've made lots of useful reports, and the role gives you additional editing rights for manga/author pages.
• Power Uploader: Given to users who upload 500 chapters. The chapters do not have to belong to you, but they do need to be valid uploads that don't break any other site rules. This role has the same permissions that Contributors do.
• MD@H: Involved with the MangaDex@Home project.
• VIP: Given out to a small number of people for unusual reasons, like helping out MD significantly in the past.
• Staff: Staff.

Do not ask to be given roles. GM/GL/PU/MD@H are assigned automatically, Contributor/VIP/Staff are given out by the discretion of staff. If you believe you should have one of the automatically assigned roles, either report yourself or post in the Support subforum. If you have a role on the main site but it's not visible on the forums, logging out and logging back in again should fix it.

There is no specific number, and it's given to people based solely on their contribution to the site - contacting staff will not make a difference.

Power Uploaders inherit Contributor permissions, and there's no inactivity rules.

those are just titles given based on your reaction score

there is no difference, you don't get any priveleges
