In high school I was helping a friend who was aiming to be year's representative. (Was already doing a lot of things in the background too).
Some bimbo runt for presidency and won like in this chapter.

Never did anything, we had to do most of meetings without her. The biggest problem is that the teachers were giving her some info and notices, so we missed several deadlines during the first half of the year because she couldn't care. It's the direct cause of our year missing our "last year trip".

Still infuriating even more than a decade later.

PS : worse, at the end of the year she took half of the collectively earned money to do some "team Building" with her own group. We learnt that after the fact, even for me, the treasurer. Teaching body just told us that it was "our problem". (The same teaching body who gave her access to the money in the safe, despite established procédures)

It gave me some insight about how "grown-up" politic was working
