Mitsui is consumed by a deeply destructive feeling, a sense of powerlessness that gnaws at his very core. He is driven by an intense desire to accomplish so much, to prove his worth and live up to his own lofty ambitions. Yet, in the face of this setback, he finds himself utterly incapable of making the progress he craves. So he destroys himself, trying to get rid of any semblance of his past self so he can let it go, yet only to begin craving playing basketball even more, repeating this vicious cycle until he breaks in front of his mentor.
