Why did I only read this now? Been so long since I saw the anime too. I’m in tears! 😭

A very good read. For anyone who is hesitating to read this because of the old publish year or that the manga might have excessive stupid drama.....just read it because it hardly has any of that. The art is amazing and even though it doesn't start strong for me, after 15-ish chapters or so, slam dunk will get interesting. Also, it will be no drama or 'slice of life' feels to it after that because it will be ball and ball only. My high school years were full of basketball memories and reading this has awakened many of those memories. The art of rebounding, striving to get the ball high up in the air, is pretty emotional. If you play ball you might cry from seeing these rebound moments portraited in this manga. 10/10 for me. Cheers.

First time I ever cried because of fucking awesomeness, excellent read, would’ve liked it to last longer.

Come here because of the movie. My friend told me the manga is different from the movie, they will lose. So while reading this I keep getting annoyed, why make them looks like they will win when in the end they won't. I am so surprised when they actually win. I guess my friend just remember it wrong cause it's been a long time since he read this.

This manga is a masterpiece, but i also notice that alot of the tactics used are illegal, so this manga can be misleading
