So... The MC can one-shot the monsters they thought there was only one of... After a lot of the Knights were killed already... He could have prevented those deaths by killing it sooner but the author didn't let him to show how evil his boss is. Not exactly the most promising of starts if they don't use a panel or two to have the MC arrive late or something, but will devote many to showing what an awful guy the boss is openly. Well, I am willing to stick it out to see what comeuppance the douchebag gets since that shouldn't be too hard to make satisfying, and we'll see if they improve on these little details by then.

@shanoc5902: MC is the slave of the Knight Order, and that old guy is his owner. While MC seems OP, because he doesn't have any wish to achieve anything he stays low profile.
As for why MC didn't save the other Knights from their death and killed those monsters fast, well consider how that Knight Order Captain was acting, my guess is that he had sent MC to do some other stuff (remember, MC did say that he had been working non-stop with almost no sleep or rest for a few days), and MC had just returned back at that moment and quickly helped out.

Oh. I was hoping the first chapter would get to the plot, but this is just the exposition.

Anyway, I'm really surprised that the kingdom has never reviewed the black Knights leadership or performance before. I mean these are the guys protecting literally everyone from demons (I'm assuming the worst of the worst monsters in this setting). They should be reviewed frequently to ensure their only (assuming; at least first line) defense isn't failing. Also what type of asshole, greedy, refuses to fight, corrupt leader tells their most powerful soldier to go die? That one doesn't even make sense. He's a criminal (giving you full control over him) and can one shot demons. Abuse your power over him and keep him under your control (that makes sense for a no good slimy captain), but why eat up and overwork (to exhaustion) and tell to "go die" the one guy that can defeat demons in your entire army (like had he not been there the captains would have had to fight (and probably lose) and they'd all die).
