Yeah, but it doesn't means he needs to be a wolf wolf. There are some stories that put Cerberus as being a dragon even though it is a dog in the myth, sometimes undine is not water spirit but a fish or just sentiant plain water even though the common depiction is that of a harpy (or what is known nowadays as mermaid).
