You know I've seen alot of this trope in hentai when a parasitic life form like a mimic worm or slime enters a human host, but never in a regular manga setting. I guess with this series you would need like a "possession" tag? I think mangadex has that tag since they also host hentai manga as well since possession tag is often used for hentai related series. Also, on who killed the original saint my best bet is that every servant was involved in her murder and the slime saint has to gain back respect on the servants in order to fix the issue like rebuilt back the saint's image.

So the slime/saint just pretend nothing happened and walked back? While the servants either are unaware of her murder or all of them knew but had to pretend as well.

Now I guess she has to solve the murder mystery while also trying to pretend to be a decent human. I wonder if she will meet the other slime who possessed a human again.

It's an improvement, so whatever happened, it's for the better. Let's not think too much about it.

I kinda hope that people will find out, but keep it a secret because she's a better person than the original anyway, leading to a situation where she's the only one who doesn't know she's been found out.

the saint ain't dead when the slime find her, so isn't really skinsuit rather than slime merge with the saint.

The girl is actually dead in ch1, she was poisoned and dumped in the forest. As the first slime pilot explained, a slime can take over a human corpse if it's fresh. What the slime did here was getting rid of the poison and substituting the damaged parts with itself. It's literally a slime piloting the body of the villainess.
