Maybe it's just me and well slime is just slime but page 17 feels creepy to me.

I know she just want some foodies but her eyes was drawn like a dead fish with no shine in them compared to other pages

Glad I'm not the only one who feel uncomfortable with that panel. Guess the artists want to remind us the reader Jelly is a walking corpse

...maybe this will be the moment when Jelly is going to be mistaken as a saint, by being alive and "unharmed" (no blood visible) after getting stabbed? Especially if she forgives the stabber afterwards?

I imagine killer is being bribed by another person to kill Jelly. He says "if you can be saved" so like If he kills Jelly he can probably get money and save her sister(?) But then he fails but Slime Jelly will empathize the Killer and sets off saving sister(?) either by Money (she prob rich) or by her Saintly powers.

And Most likely it's the butler on the color spread.

I think that panel is meant to show you as a reader that the slime is making a ruthless attempt at stealing Jelly's life. In a way her eyes are so lifeless because the author is trying to show you that the slime doesn't feel sorry for the OG Jelly because the slime knows she was a terrible person that deserved to be assassinated. I think that's the reason why we get these flashbacks every chapter.
