Author needs to be careful about overusing her slime-face, lest it start to wear thin.

With that said, it was mostly used to good effect this chapter. She seems to have a grasped the concept of minihumans pretty well

I initially thought maybe the kids were starved and this was a reaction to too much food but the amount was much too small. Can't believe she'd rather poison kids than admit her sins, not much of a nun is she.

If it's not poison, my bet's on it just being because the kid got cramps after mixing eating + exercise (since they apparently never play, they probably don't exercise at all either). Though, it's a bit exaggerated, and you mostly get stomach cramps if you exercise after eating, not the other way around, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it switched up a bit just thanks to manga logic.

It would be simpler if it's targeted towards Celes.
Though the fact that it happened right when Jelly finally agree to do an inspection was maybe not a coincidence.
The relationship between Jelly and Celes was bad, so the perpetrator might have counted for Celes to leave once Jelly comes.
Which she almost did, if Jelly didn't stop her.

I'd bet that the poison can't be treated with normal healing, and Jelly would need to extract the poison using her slime power.
