She is so lucky that Will is so incredibly gullible to not only trust her with strange substances around his sister (let alone leaving them alone in a room together), but also to just willingly look for any excuse why she could be absolved from her former deeds, to the point where he is chalking it up to the "Saint's training" that he himself prevented her from attending by killing her en route to the training site
With Erin at least I can see why she would just rather trust "Lady Jelly" over her superiors, having not met the previous version of her, but Will is just the right kind of stupid that she needed
Well, in the end it worked out just fine for both of them though (now let's just hope that this new saint doesn't have any "Detect Monster" type of spell)
