@IsabellaBellio - Nice question. I think that Matsumoto was drawing the wrong conclusions from what Ootaki said and didn't say. Ootaki didn't mean to say anything, but some things simply slipped out.
@xell17 - See PM. But the word was "変わってる" (kawatteru), which indicates the present state of having changed. I didn't look it up in my dictionary, or I would have found this:
変わってる (かわってる) = [Plain Progressive Casual] (v5r,vi) (1) to change/to be transformed/to be altered/to vary/(2) to move to/(3) to be different/to be uncommon/to be unusual/(P)/
変わってる (かわってる) = (exp,v1) to be unusual (of a person or of a thing)/to be uncommon/to be peculiar/to be crazy/to be eccentric/to be different/
The second definition agrees with your take on things, to a point.
The fifth page has been updated accordingly.
EDIT: Yet another reason to avoid places like MangaRock. Those pirate sites typically steal the very first version of a chapter when it appears on MangaDex (or before, on Batoto). They rarely ever download the updates.
