The resume seems as follows: @Lilliwyt was fishing with his/her Kamuri x Eiko ship and stranded into the part of sea full of Eiko x Sensei ships probably 90% of comment section?(1)... Even me with a little knowledge of how a naval battle plays understanding this as a massacre of someone innocent... Happens everyday... and people thinking the guy dislikes Yuri cause he/she supports Kamuri x Eiko was a little amusing...

The worst part is that I too come back for the Eiko x Sensei bits too... Even worst is that Eiko's "force (uke)" against Sensei "unwilling (seme)(2)" is pretty good material... and a pretty fresh scenario too... although the fresh part comes from the fact that no one criticizes sensei for being too much oblivious at least or "spineless" at worst... what happens a lot in more mainstream titles...

The teasing here is superb too... every time Eiko don´t get what she wants... just what she needs... and is happy anyway... even when shes cries(?)... she was warned...

From sensei's POV, more than unwilling or considering her role as an educator, because it's "wrong". My hypothesis is that Enami-sensei thinks of herself as giving equal treatment to all her students, Eiko being an odd one cause she craves for more attention than she meant to give... making her a pain to a before perfect and tranquil lifestyle... A dull one but nonetheless perfect one. People would call it "The lie she believes"?...

And in Eiko's case she's fascinated by the fact that this particular won't give her the time of her day... Cause the way she choose to live she is surrounded for everyone that regards her as someone that is special... when she isn't (she is unaware of being an MC in a slice of life manga, poor girl)... she seems fine with her little sister (Miki) and with Kamuri and Hana cause they are little sister material too... Everyone else is an acquaintance (3)... Her most different relationships are Tamate that treats her as a dating sim protagonist, just for the lols and her beloved Kiyose-sensei (that treats her as just any other student)...

In counterpart all her other potential ships: Kamuri (a cat imouto), Hana (a friend in need), Hiroe (plaything), Sachi (Dangerous?). Something like this?

(1) Tsubakimori x Eiko are almost pirates there...

(2) Yuri has these kind of roles too?

(3) Still a hypothesis, the manga never detailed how Eiko sees anyone besides the main cast...

@mrponeis Thanks for putting in words what i can't do, i'm very bad when it come to argumenting so people get easily the upperhand on me. I already that it was a terrible battle when i start it because 95% of the readers are on the Eiko/Sensei ship and honeslty i can't blame because it's what the author emphasis the most but i never feel the passion in it because of Sensei being oblivous on purpose for Eiko's attacks, i mean she said "so annoying" in the last panel. By no mean i will said someone is stupid for going on this ship, i respect your love for the ship but i just want had the right to hate it equally.

@Lilliwyt-san... How can I say this? You are playing David (minority) & Goliath (majority) in a scenario where god is beside Goliath . And if I understood your last comment you still went to the battle... without god(1), without a rock in your sling(2) and even the army of Israel turned their backs on you... And you believed this was still a "fair fight"... Let me praise you for your bravery when everybody knows they will you call you naive in most of the story books from these days forward...

From someone that likes Tamate x Eiko as a sidedish now and then... I wish you some pluck and luck...

(1) by god I mean like in word of god, like you yourself recognizes the author intent, the fact that what Tokumi-sensei writes happens

(2) I'm not sure if your peeve with this particular ship is "The mangaka tries to hard to sell me this one pair when the right thing is to give everyone a fair chance", or "This ship is so mainstream that the fans started annoying me with their hype"

(3) You pretty much declared this fight as a lost cause "being the only one" on the away team... you should try other angles and show why other ships are just as good...

Tama's dream shook me so much that I need to recheck I'm actually reading the manga and not some dj's. 🤣 Tama is a blessing I swear. Darn I kinda want to know what is sensei's dream in the end.

@mrponeis I mean, if somehow i had the power to change the mind of the author about this ship, i do it but that's something behind my power so like Abraham Simpson, i yell at clouds. For the 2nd point, it's kinda a mix of both. I have a bad habit to hate mainstream things for no particular reasons, in this case there is a reason which is Kamu and Sensei's feelings and attitude towards Eiko, one love her and the other find er annoying.

Wow, mrponeis, I must say that your magnificent comments propelled this comment thread from the average Mangadex comment section to one of the greatest discussions I have had the pleasure of reading. And I don't mean that sarcastically (if you take it as such), I genuinely loved reading through your comments.

@Lilliwyt I shall pay more attention to this ping thing. Regrettably trying and succeeding aren't the best friends out there... And yelling at clouds is fine as long you don't mind birds and rainstorms... About the hate thing, yours is pretty healthy... You should see how sad are people that nowadays still follow Boruto and Eden's Zero out of Stokholm syndrom (?)... Everyone one hates how the "milking" is taking their once favorite series, everybody that still think it can get better somehow... And always somebody just to salt the wounds... Talk about a very vicious circle...

If you gave the series one more chance, the series still shows promise... If something a very recent chapter gave a try at a Sensei x Kamu pair and how much they occasionally "love" Eiko (pretty subverted when food is on the table)... Should be worth some laughs I guess...

@notyurinotinterested If I got you interested in something other than yuri, it's my pleasure I guess? Although I was analyzing yuri pairings to begin with so the joke is on me... Maybe they are right about people that don't have talent for creating things having a kick at reviewing it (and vice and versa) as messed up (read as unfair) as it sounds...

The trick here is that most people stop at the understanding that nothing is perfect... Even the things they like/love have some stains... I'm idiot enough to try to answer "why"... With lots of mixed results must I add...

Yeah i'm strangely ok with a love triangle and yeah i laugh when i see Sensei and Kamu being buddy about food.

If you gave the series one more chance, the series still shows promise...

The current chance is still running, i might consider dropping if the pairing became canon for some reasons but till it happen i will read.

Well with 60+ I'm sure that if some pair is to be canon it only will be at the very very end of the series(1)... to late to drop... But until there be aware that the teasing will be a very wild ride...

The worst case would be the girls graduating(2), Eiko confessing her love, and Enami-sensei still rejecting her... from sensei POV she will miss Eiko even if a little but she will free from her antics... until Eiko graduates some university out there and comes back... Cause you can see she doing it... As annoying as ever and a very popular teacher to boot... Just because she can...

The two possible ends: 1 - Enami-sensei finally is obliged to put a restraining order on Eiko 2 - Tsubakimori comes back too and kidnaps Eiko... or 3 - Tama-chan wakes up again, cause Tokumi-sensei seems to like the gag and I don't know how to count...

1 - I'm not very well versed in the ways of Yuri manga, but I'm pretty sure that everytime homosexual pairings tries to be monogamic the angst levels explode... Since Slow Start still is sweet and funny I don't think any otp will form anytime soon...

2 - The fact that Hana will take her secret to the grave cause I don't see a way the author can deliver any drama from it...

It's one of my rule, don't expect yuri ending if the tag don't say so. Subtext doesn't count.

You will not be surprised if it's my best case scenario. I kinda expect Eiko to confess in the lasts chapters of the manga.

That's a problem i had also. The starting point of Hana being a ronin was good but now i don't see how it's a problem. If any drama come out of this, it will the girls blaming Hana for not saying it before.

@Lilliwyt and as you can see the manga is fresh and the possibilities endless... The best part is that working with comedy is that the author can pair everyone else and we are still game... Even Tsubakimori (Stalkership) and Tamate (Galgeship) are game!

The only cause why Hana's case is so ineffective at drama is cause her friends are wonderful people... and Hannen is doing a great job jabbing everything else that could be an issue... Being older to the point she can't hides the matter, being alone in the dark with all the paranoia that follows (read as far from any friend from that time) and even if she has the know how to pull it off she lacks the confidence to do so (she has the brains of a student council president after all)... and we still are presented all that as comedy... Hana's better finding a new gimmick soon while she still has some focus... Maybe she should run for Eiko too...
