Is this in relation to Kuji’s friend asking him if his “boyfriend” was the one who told him not to bring too many books? The way I interpret it is that to Manabe, it sounds like something a partner would say (I don’t think he’s actually met Azuma); and because they’re not “official” as such, Kuji feels like he has to deny that statement (that good old “nameless relationship”!)By the way, am I misunderstanding or Kuji thinks of Azuma as something other than his boyfriend?
Definitely not alone, I dig their understated banter too ❤️i might be alone in this, but i love the way they verbalize their affection for each other.
I hate the term, but I think they're in a situationship of sorts? I think it came up when Kuji went on his trip, but they haven't really discussed whether they're exclusive (I really appreciate Azuma asking about the "silver fox" here) and Azuma's declaration here about wanting to be together forever is I think the first time they've really broached the future. So technically they're not really in a formal "boyfriend" type relationship as far as I can tell.By the way, am I misunderstanding or Kuji thinks of Azuma as something other than his boyfriend?

Azuma’s such a commitment-phobe 🥲
I realize now that I'm more awake that my question sounded a bit like a critique, but I just wanted to confirm that they Kuji still considered they were in a "situationship" like story645 put it or if he was denying something else in that scene with his brother. I had the impression Kuji and Azuma had wordless moved past that and stopped denying when other people referred to them as boyfriends already. It seems like I really need to re-read to refresh my memory. Thanks both of you for the replies!I hate the term, but I think they're in a situationship of sorts?
