Part of me has this little voice in me asking why couldn't they have treated her better in the first life? I know...I know her mum basically interfered at every angle but it feels bittersweet when we know she wasn't actually at fault for her mother's actions but was still effectively punished for them.

Idk, bittersweet is the vibe of this series for me I guess.
