The chapter is really, really good, and everything... but this is already getting just strange. Shirayuki, you know each other for what, five or six years already? You're in relationship for about FOUR years. Zen said it multiple times that you are the one he wants to be beside him. You love him, you got the unspoken approval from his brother, the king himself, you got it from your friends, his personal aides, you bear the Tanbarun royal title if you're worried about your social rank, you accomplished so many things it's hard to count...
AND YOU STILL QUESTION WHETHER IT'S FINE FOR YOU TO BE IN THE SAME ROOM WITH YOUR LOVER?

I don't even mention that the only thing they've done in YEARS is kissing awkwardly. And they are what, mid-20s already? Of course, I don't, and I'll never ask for them to bang each other here and there, but this is just weird... Zen isn't a hormonal teenager anymore, like it was in the beginning, both can control their feelings, but the level of intimacy here, where it should be, is still slightly above kindergarten level... What's wrong with the characters here, I wonder... Right now Kiki and Obi are the only sane persons in this company when it comes to romance and I seriously feel bad for them, especially for Kiki...
And I want more Yuzuri here. >_< Let me see more of the best girl...

Shirayuki is near the end of her 2-year stay in Lyrias with Ryuu right now (it's her second winter, which started with the Seleg arc). Before that, there was a month of preparation before leaving Wistal castle. Before that, it was several months after the coronation. Before that, it was at least several weeks after her being invited in the castle as a resident (Izana apologized to Zen that "it wasn't even a year after she entered the castle" about her leaving for Lyrias). Before that, it was roughly a year or even more since the first Lyrias trip (the Olin Maris incident). Before that, there was a kidnapping incident (took roughly two or three months with all preparations and traveling). Also, there were a lot of small stories in the course of that year. Before that, there was a confession (it's what, four or five years already?). And before that there was almost a year long period, when Shirayuki worked in the castle as an apprentice herbalist.
So, you have it here, five or six years. Five or six years OF LITERALLY NOTHING. The scene inside the library in ch. 88 and the scene in the garden in ch.48 were probably the most explicit expressions of their feelings to each other, but aside of that, NOTHING... And now they have their only small amount of precious time together after almost TWO YEARS being apart... and all they have is just friendly talks about nothing with being embarrassed, blushing and kissing clumsily sometimes?

P.S. I can definitely say that Shirayuki really loves Zen, and it's a deep, matured love, but I assume that she couldn't see herself beside him as his spouse. When it comes to this, she is extremely uncertain and she doesn't know what to do. Her love to Zen right now is almost equal to her admiration of Kiki (which is borderline erotic, given that Kiki is a mature woman and a noble one, both in rank and in posture, and this is what fascinates Shirayuki the most) and if she won't treat the two of them as man and woman, it will be pretty bad. And when it comes to Zen... stop behave yourself like a virgin, even if you are one! >_< She is a woman and she wants your attention, damn it!

OMG!! Not that you list everything it is too little interaction between the 2 ?
But let's think like:
-This is a light slice of life type of romance Shoujo, we are not going to see anything more rated.
-Zen IS a Prince, therefore i don't think he's sleeping with her until weeding honeymoon.
-He STILL has to make her his Fiancee, and have the blessings from like, Brother King, Regent Mother, all the Royal Court, and the hole country (lol)
-The author is, maybe, waiting to Shirayuki to gain a nationwide fame, so it's easier to Zen to marry her, since she's like...a peasant, from another country (yes, she has the Royal Title of Friend of blablabla, but she's still a Peasant.) And because of this, she's annoyingly aware of Zen as a Prince/Royal, offsetting a bit what ever carnal emotions she may have when they are together.
-Zen maybe is waiting for the right oportunity to confront his Brother about the wedding. Marrring in the Royal Family is no easy bussines after all, and he himself just escaped a assasination atempts some months ago too.

Well, answers in the same order:
1. I already said that I don't even want to see any 18+ material here - it would be just plain rude to the story, but there's a lot more things you should do with your girlfriend, aside from sex. Actually, Zen already provided some pretty romantic moments for Shirayuki in the past (I'm not counting some scenes where he just wanted to be flashy, like with the "promise for a confession" scene long, long ago), but these are so rare nowadays...
2. I'm not talking about sleeping, but this is just not the way you should behave yourself when you're alone with your beloved one. Well, there's a perfect plot in a similar fantasy setting which provides many examples of how it should be. And you probably know what I'm talking about. Yeah, Spice and Wolf. The relationships between Horo and Lawrence are so much deeper and more mature that it's ever wrong to compare it with this at this point. And Horo can be REALLY naughty at times (given that she is a werewolf goddess having no shame at all), but even with this, their interactions with Lawrence could NEVER be called even indecent (I cannot even say 'sexual' here). They are an awesome sample of how you should care about each other.
The big problem with Zen and Shirayuki is that both of them have exactly zero experience when it comes to closely interacting with another sex. I wholeheartedly agree that they don't have time for this, period. But the biggest problem is that when they actually HAVE this little time together, they do nothing to fix it! I can bet 100$ that Obi will be furious in the next chapter when he'll hear about their little embarrassing chat together. Zen is already slow with his proposal (he's actually two years late for this, just remember their discussion in the harbor), but he's even more slow with the romantic moves. He was mad at Mitsuhide two chapters ago, but it's the pot calling the kettle black!
3. Izana already said it to Zen in an implicit way several times that it's okay for them to be together. He's even said that Zen is free to go to the Wilant (and remember what Shirayuki said to Izana after that ball). The interaction between Shirayuki and Haruto will be much, much more interesting, and I'm really curious about why it wasn't mentioned to Haruto when she was present at the coronation that her younger son have a favourite now. I'm also curious about the absence of Haki in the plot - she is really interesting character.
4. Well, it's the essence of the Izana's request he made to Shirayuki. I think he doesn't really care about the Olin Maris being accepted - he wanted an examination for Shirayuki about whether she is able to stand beside Zen as an equal or not. If yes, it will also serve as a perfect opportunity for making her face recognizable in the north, both as a scientist and as Zen's future wife. And in the case of success he will also have a new decorative plant in his homeland. Three birds with one stone. I LOVE how he handles things!
5. Zen is just being a kid with these matters, as always. Without Shirayuki out there to kick his ass in place he's never going to have word in love affairs. =_=

I don’t get it, why is Shiryauki kinda sighing in pg 27 and then Zen is blushing right after??
And Why is the comment full of the two needing to go get into full on relationship! Think already!
This 2 years are just a practice round for them and after this they may have to part several reasons!!
And who knows, maybe they’ll marry soon after Shirayuki gets to Wilant Castle..! 🥰
