@musicfreak12 As it usually is in fantasy stories, Immortality has multiple loopholes. Sealing Kumoko away is viable option. If the seal is good enough then she can't ever get out. There are also skills and abilities that apply a special status condition that turns off skills (Kumoko also has one I think). Then there are the two main exception that allow you to ignore Immortality. Immortality protects the body. That means that attacks that destroy the soul (Abyss magic for example) can still kill her. Then there is also the thing about being "within the system".
The system is the thing that gives people stats, skills and assists them in using those benefits. Being outside of the system means that you are too strong (have too much energy) for the system to help you. Beings outside the system are the administrators (Gods basically).
Also, another bigger spoiler:
Potimas Harrifenas is one nasty motherfucker.

@MrFakOff If you are referring to that one council-like chapter then that is the same demon lord (Ariel). But the others are not administrators
(at least most of them are not)
just normal demons.

The story of the MC with no real threats, consequences, or fear of any enemy, who will obviously always overcome everything and can never die. New half-chapter every 14 to 30 days.

Wow. I think I might be done.

With that said, what's there at stakes here? Every fight become meaningless because she can just win every fight by redoing it enough times
Immortality doesn't mean you can't die or not wish that you'd be rather dead. There's always loopholes and many ways to deal with it, which is what Kumoko referring to in this very chapter (and goes at length about it in novel), even if you disregard some skills within the system itself, not to mention some other irregularities. Like she said so many chapters ago, there's always someone stronger.

@KreamPunk It was Polnareff just look at her clothing. It should've been Kayoin though, since he's the one who fights with his brains, while Polnareff is the idiot.
@tanukihat, just read the chapter again, Kumoko herself knows that there are ways to deal with her even with immortality, D also mentioned that before, this is not the OP wish fulfilment fantasy that you think the story will become, and yes I've read ahead can 100% assure you that what you fear won't ever be a thing in this story.

@BloodySorcerer It was a reference to the final battle with DIO with Polnareff and Jotaro running around to buy Kakyoin and Old Joseph time to figure out what Za Warudo's power was.

The immortality was way better and logic at the novel
she laid eggs and then when she got killed the egg hatches with a small version of her and a minus stats, as she re-grew the minus decreases and again she got all her stats back to normal.
Is a better explanation and not so OP… also I guess at the novel is better explained the corrode plan…
as soon as she infected mother.. she finds is just a link on the net.. so 2 parallel wills infects 2 Teratec kind (like Mother) and the third goes directly to the demon king… also it lets her explain in further chapters how war against elfs and humans went and her own species to grow at the labyrinth

@Kaarme

It is obvious that in any type of literature, even religious literature, man is the spearhead of all evolution, his highest living form of perfection.

It's all written by men for men, after all.

I've been wondering about this for a while actually, but what's that "nai wa" catchphrase Kumoko often repeats mean?

...please don't tell me it's just Engrishified "no way". 😑

Nai wai means no way.
Also, I'm not a specialist in arachnidae but the fact that she has an abdomen, a cephalothorax, and a head , means that she's not really a spider, right ?

That isn't immortality skill tho. This whole thing is still ahead and way different in light novel. You might as well don't know anything if you read only web novel. Enjoy the ride.

Yeah, strange how it's so much different in the WN (I didn't read LN), and IMO much better there. Here, it just sounds like "OP skill can make me survive anything as long as the author wants me alive".
(while still inside the system)

I sure am not a fan of the latest trend with mangas being split into odd parts, but, oh well. At least we're still getting stuff.

Well, it's just the way the manga is drawn. In the LN illustrations (and in the anime PV) you can see that she does have cephalothorax and abdomen only, no separate head.

It's not some corrupt form of "no way", but the similarity may be intentional. Nai actually means a lack of a thing, the absence or impossibility, wa is just sort of an emphasis on it. The way she uses it one could take to mean that she is declaring that something reasonable doesn't exist, that her expectations just aren't there. Like you're looking for your keys but they aren't where you thought they were, only it's not her keys, it's common sense that's missing.

She can still die with
Abyss Magic which essentially throws you into another dimension if the attack doesn't kill you.
That other dimension don't have the system and due to that skill don't work there.
