I'm not always a huge Asano Inio fan, but I really liked this one. A bit more accessible than some of his stuff.

Yeah, it's quite a bit more feel-good than his later stuff. Although DeDeDeDe is similar in tone, perhaps even more cheerful most of the time, owing to majority of the cast being high-schoolers/college students (but then again, when it hits, it hurts).

Asano Inio's works always make me feel like I want to cry.

I've got to admit, I came in with higher expectations for this one. It's not bad... just alright. When the big shift happened, I wanted to feel more than I did. It just wasn't enough time for me to develop an attachment to some of these characters. Still, I enjoy his art style and some moments did have me in my feels regardless. Looking forward to reading Punpun next though.

@flowstate Just finished and I agree with you. It wasn’t bad but I was expecting a lot since the author made Goodnight Punpun.

It's bittersweet, sometimes sad and even tragic, bit overall feels almost like bright and happy tale compared to PunPun.

I like how Inio explores the human emotion, from grief and sadness, happiness, fucking crippling depression. I'm not that deep into different works of manga, but his stuff has always come on top

Incrível como o Asano consegue retratar a realidade de uma maneira tão filosófica em qualquer personagem de suas histórias.
