I like cars, I consider myself knowledgeable on them. That repair was utter bullshit. How can the fuse for the oil pump make the lights unable to work. Fucking lmao.
A more believable fuse that could have fried was anything that could have to do with the starter motor. In most cases, cars have spare fuses for these kinds of scenarios if not in the glove box, then on the fuse box itself. If nothing else, fuses for things like the turn signals or the radio can be used as a temporary fix.
