Hello people, I'm Swezed and I am a staff on Edelgarde Scans.

For the comments I've seen lately I can clearly see that some of you are furious about the current situation regarding what we've been doing with this series and I want to clear up some misunderstandings here, and that is that we are not related to JB in any way. I can understand in a sense why people think that we are doing what JB supposedly wanted us to do for 5 months ago or so but this is not true. You can even see how mad JB gets if they see someone who has the name of a edelgarde staff on their discord and how much shit they talk in general chat.

As Cwavs has posted, this is a basically passion project of BasePlay, I myself was very confused when I heard about us doing this project. Personally I'm not with the idea of it and I don't like taking peoples work. I certainly do enjoy the chapters more because of the better translations but I don't like general idea of Base doing this and that it would probably have been better to do it in a individual group instead of putting it under our groups name.

Aside from Solo Bug Player we are just a normal scanlation group doing things for fun and I can understand why the chapters are getting flamed in the comments. I don't really know what business that goes down with solo bug player but I just wanted to make it clear that we are not related to JB and that BasePlay is the one whoes done all the work for this series.

I joined this group 2020.03.02, as a friend to Skrillz and some other people. I do know about the post yes, but I can confirm that JB has banned basically any staff member from Edelgarde Scans. I've seen JB talk trash about us in the general chat of theirs which I've previously mentioned.

I do not actually really have anything I can say against that myself as I joined later after the drama. I have been in good terms and relationship with all people in the discord and they have been nice and friendly even before Edelgarde Scans was a thing and they are still the same people as before.

I do however feel like you are going a bit too far with that question because he says "I'll need to ask them first" which the other guy responds with "But JB will be funding you and supporting your team".

Perhaps, English isn't your first language (mine happens to be) but you don't need to know English very well to figure out whose translations are better. Sorry, this irked me and I had to correct your thoughts. BasePlay's translations are way worse than MTL's, which is why so many members are pissed off. His command in English is so poor that Google or Yandex apps do a better job. If you know BasePlay, please advise him to do something better in life; unfortunately, he's not suitable to be a translator with his poor English language skills.

It's unfortunate that Tritinia had to stop. They have a superior quality of translations. This manhwa and its author deserve better.

Perhaps, you can't see the difference between manga and manhwa. Sorry, this irked me and I had to correct your thoughts.

Honestly, I couldn't have cared less about this. If you aren't happy with the translations then go ahead and drop it, I enjoyed the first chapter more than Tritinia's which you also spelled incorrectly btw. Feel free to compare them yourself though, I liked Edelgarde Scans more. But who knows, you might as well enjoy theirs.

@Swezed your true colors come out now. Perhaps this is Edelgarde Scans' true intent, ie, to snipe other manga or manhwas being translated by decent groups. There's no point in your diplomatic response, earlier then.

PS: You can continue to live in your own delusional world, where you think your group is doing a great job 👏.
