@personal852 Nothing much really, it's just that he becomes so powerful, the story regresses into revolving set pieces showing how powerful he is, with little to no variation. Essentially more of the same, then more of the same, then more of the same. And the more powerful he gets, the less meaningful interactions he'll have with other characters, so not only does the story not develop, the character doesn't either.

It's a pitfall of the genre, and more specifically, something that always happens to MCs that are necromancers/summoners. The author just runs out of ideas to challenge the MC, and since webnovels generate income per chapter, the author is incentivized to go for quantity over quality.

This genre is such that the stories are frequently fun to start, but you rarely see the point finishing them, and Solo Levelling is rapidly arriving at that inflexion point.

I like how they're just casually taking a plane to Japan during a nationwide catastrophic event.
