A lot happened in this side story but I can't believe the comments aren't talking more about healer girl getting together with rich boy.

Nvm I can't read

Jinah is MC's sis
You're right, I totally mixed her up with Lee Joohee when he said she was getting her medical degree

Thanks for correcting me!

Although now I'm annoyed that we got no update on Joohee in the epilogue considering how close they were in the first act of the story.

I knew it was gonna happen, but still. NOOOOOOOOOO, not the chairman. He was the only character that had good writing. It should have been someone else.

Spoiler for new readers

"it seem that the winter for our house is still yet to come. "

I just noticed the foreshadowing for solo leveling: ragnarok.

yeah. the chairman thing doesnt really moves me. He's literally a side character that barely fights. Sure, he fights in the background not in the battlefield, but in administration making sure korea doesnt lose a national lvl hunter due to rules and profits, but his "fighting with our MC" literally slightly exist when frost monarch came to kill him.

While i do agrees he's an amazing man that set aside his ego to regulate hunters rather than being a rich ass hunter, (all of the fragment of brilliant light user are s rank national hunters), his screen time and his "bonds" with sung jin woo isnt enough to drives that dying in bed scene justice. I mean tear drop over flashbacks like "sung jinwoo came to my office and proves himself to be a badass"? come on.
He’s a lot closer to him in the novel but the comic didn’t show it since it would be using up chapters essentially for filler. For example, when the healer died during the Jeju Island raid, Sung got a lot of heat for not joining at the beginning and only joining after one of them was killed. The chairman found out that Sung stayed out of the raid because his mother had just woken up and, repeating him more, he decided to take the blame by putting out a public statement that the Association purposefully held him back from the raid because he didn’t have enough experience and only put his in when things started going wrong.

Between that and multiple other small things between the two, the chairman becomes one of Sung’s bigger backers, and becomes the reason that Sung always helped the Association. There’s also a lot more conversations between those two. However, for better or worse, the comic had to cut out a lot of it so that the comic didn’t drag on so much and kept a pretty good pacing
