Something like an "Engrish" language option

I think it'd be nice if things translated to English could be voted on to move to "Engrish." Ideally this would allow translations with obviously poor grammar to be categorized so that people could choose whether to display them or not and leave the English translations of that manga open to translators that are more adept in the language.

You can hide chapters from a certain group by blocking them.
but for a users' chapter, well, nothing. (at least I think, haven't blocked anyone)
Maybe blocking them will also block their chapters. but that's for the soon™ update

What I see this being used primarily for is butthurt groups (and group fanboys) who had a project "stolen" from them weaponizing it to bully the new group off the site lol.
I already see chapters flooded with "MUH BAD ENGLISH/QUALITY" on chapters where there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, other than the fact it wasn't the usual group that uploads it and they think that group has a fucking copyright on the manga lol.

yes, there are some genuinely shit uploads out there but as said, just block the group or hell, ignore the upload.

just check out any chapter that is "sniped" on this site, there will be at least a few comments of "UM excuse me, did you ask -main group-'s permission to post this chapter?????" as if they need permission from another group to do anything. These comments are sometimes not from anyone involved in the group (unless they're using a sock puppet, which I do suspect sometimes) just randos who believe their group of choice has the god given right to any series they don't actually own lol.

But where would you draw the line if it's English or Engrish? I personally find its/it's or your/you're typos unreadable. Should we mark 100% (because there's always this type of typo present) of english scanlations as "Engrish"?

@BzzBzz When it's actually Engrish. It would be translated and typeset as if all of the characters have an accent from a non-English-speaking country and is clearly ESOL on first sight

Honestly, no. While there are scanlations with obviously poor English, I have also seen comment sections talking about how poorly something was to read that was actually pretty easy for me to read, with no glaring issues. This idea would be too easily abused by the Troll Corp to mess with groups they want to target.

@Hounder I'd like to see an example of this. Don't think I've ever seen people describe proper English as difficult to read, but I have dropped multiple series simply because the translators AND the proofreader were not fluent in English. It's ridiculous that people even think it's ok to try to get away with actually labeling these people as "proofreaders."
