Based and transitpilled but how do you come back from Japan and come to the conclusion that LIGHTRAIL is what you need? Surely the transit experience on Tokyo JR lines would have radicalized you into heavy rail + PSD absolutely everything.

Paris and Montreal metros (subways) are both rubber tired. It does mean they can be built at steeper grades than steel wheeled trains but its got a lot of downsides.
