Based and Trainpilled.

As a daily user of commuter trains, trains are a blessing (if you're sturdy enough being a sardine at work hours). Their punctuality is very predictable even with a few delays here and there, so you can schedule ahead and still expect to be on time.
Last March I took Amtrak from Jackson,MS to NOLA for a work conference, it 100x better than the stupidity of airports, and more relaxing than driving.

Also the light rail in Denver is quite nice ( just returned from Denver for work). Likewise BART in San Fran made life easier when I there last year for work.

The train drivers who are given "retraining"(corporate punishment)for missing the stop by two meters.

You can go a bit lower then Japan and Europe(well, the good ones in Europe)and it would work so much better.

Trains,busses,taxis,bikes,motorbikes,and a handful of cars.

Along with rental for anyone who needs it more often but don't need to outright own one.

And of course service vehicles.

Combine that with proper housing and we'd get a properly functional society.

So long you don't get stuck in traffic, you'll be fine.

Trully odd how one of the bigger train nations have fallen.

They were this close to true greatness.
It's because of big rubber. Trains have a ton of wheels but don't use tires. The tire oligarchs were doing everything they could to push people into driving personal cars more so they could sell more tires. It's why Michelin started their guide book and rating of restaraunts.

Orange pill best pill, ass on seat, ticket in hand, relaxing. No need to stress about random people doing stupid stuff, no need to look out for pedestrians, red lights, etc. Just sit and read a book. If you need your car it's still there, but you really don't most of the time :D

They even went as far as making rubber tired trains. Didn't work out though.

There are "trains" that use rubber tires, for example the Yurikamome line that crosses the Rainbow Bridge in Tokyo. It's fully automated, has no drivers and runs on rubber tires! I rode it when I visited Japan and I honestly didn't realize it was on tires instead of being a monorail or regular train. (It probably helped that I rode it at night.) So big rubber could be happy with train-like mass transit nowadays.

Instead of trains we do stupid stuff like bus kids two fucking blocks. I'm not joking, I saw it happen yesterday on my way home that goes past the elementary school. It was just after school had let out and as I was going up the street towards the school a bus was stopped to let a kid off. Turned out to be an elementary school girl who came across the street to go to her house. What's truly stupid here is that she lived on the side of the street that the nice sidewalk is on, as is the school, but had to cross the street after getting off the bus. She would have actually been safer walking the two blocks down the sidewalk and probably have gotten home just as soon, if not sooner. Perhaps my county is extra stupid about stuff like that, though.

The US needs A LOT more transit trains, your traffic is hella worrying yet you keep adding more highway lanes which of course, never solves the problem

And lobbying, the biggest mistake in the US.

I funniest thing to me is that trains' page has an explicit mention of Love Live,it is that big of character in it.
