Also known as Operation Ivory Coast, a mission to rescue POW's not far from Hanoi. Nobody was there, but it sure surprised the commies. A short but excellent and informative read. Love it. Here's some more info.
The aircraft seen here include the C-130 fixed wing cargo plane (and fueler variants were present for the mission), HH-3 Jolly Green and MH-53 Pave Low cargo helicopters (the protagonist is in the latter model), and the A-1 Sky Raider attack prop - all USAF, it seems. The Navy was elsewhere flying distraction runs.
The Green Beret guys are running USAF CAR-15's (known as GAU-5A's, still a gun nomenclature used by the Air Force today) with Single Point Night Sights on top, a rudimentary night vision optic. Small for its time, not terrible. Fun fact, no proper mount existed at the time for the rifle, so just like soldiers do, it's a whole lot of electrical/duct tape and other ties. Here's a photo in American Rifleman of MSG Billy Moore, a Green Beret on the Son Tay raid, kitted out exactly like you see in this manga depiction. Pretty damn cool!
