Sakura-Koi-Uta, Melty Blood OST
I just found the most diverse videogame sountrack i've seen, but this is my favorite song. Play Melty Blood AA, it's a lot of fun and there are more waifus than male characters.

My choice of the day is "Avrix mi galanica", a song of the Sephardi Jews with roots in Medieval Spain. It is telling of a pair of lovers. The young man wants to visit his lover but she is afraight her family might hear them. He thus tells her how to get her father, mother and brother to sleep so that they might meet without risk. This traditional Sephardic song sung in Ladino is performed by Ensemble Accentus.

Today I continue with Jewish traditional music, though this time it is klezmer music of the Ashkenazi Jews of Eastern Europe. The two pieces "Lebedig un Freilach" and "Odessa Bulgar" are performed by the David Orlowsky Trio who are inspired by the klezmer scene in early 20th century New York.

Today my choice is music archaeology. The "Iba Dance" performed by Ensemble Hathor under the conduction of Rafael Pérez Arroyo is an example of reconstructed music from the Old Kingdom of Egypt (2700-2200 BC). Like it is always the case with music archaeology and ancient music from eras where no notation survives, music archaeology is less about what music actually DID sound like in the respective culture and time period but rather about what it COULD HAVE sounded like according to all we know.

Classical music ahead!

Well, me again. Today I have chosen one of my favorites: "O Noble England - Mounsier's Almaine", composed by William Byrd, favorite composer of Queen Elizabeth I of England and THE composer of Elizabethan England. I am no Englishman but enjoy this piece performed by The Elizabethan Consort nonetheless.

Classical music ahead!

Today my choice is the fouth part, "Presto", from the "Concerto for Recorder and Transverse Flute in E minor" by composed Georg Philipp Telemann. It is performed by the chamber orchestra L'ESTRO, with Margret Schlör playing the recorder and Stefanie Pritzlaff playing the transverse flute.

Classical music ahead!
Era: Baroque
