I KNOW this is how this type of story goes, I mean, of course he's gonna die. But still. This one got me. And A-Ting all beat up with her 100% pure innocently-bloodthirsty look as she declares to her grandpa that Bai Li is a bad guy. Meh.

That one panel about 2/5th way down the chapter when Grandpa snatches A-Ting away from Bai Li, just look at Lai Li's hair in this! I mean argh! That bastard's hair is pure perfection in that panel! That shading is to die for! ... *cough* ouch. too soon.

rereading this. there's something so touching about a-ting not hesitating to try to fight bai li when she saw nuo's body. like the author didn't show many transition panels, we just see her back straight hurtling at him, and it's enough. and then the bubble saying "Run" from grandpa always chills me
