  1. Bubbles serve the text, not the other way round. Typesetting doesn't mean to slavingly and uncompromisingly adhere to the bubble contours. You set type for readability, not for vanity. It's okay to spill (in moderation).
  2. Never asked you to not break at all. Just not to do it in the dumbest, reading-flow-disrupting places. Open dictionary, find word, break where there are middle dots. Simple as that.
  3. Absolutely no scaling would have been needed if you'd observed 1 and 2.
Huh, I really didn't realise that's what those dots were for. Thank you for the advice.

Was ages since I read it, but please do remind me... was this always this type of gag manga?

Thanks for letting me know you found it helpful.
Just saying though, being a bit more polite about it doesn't cost a thing. It felt like you mightve been taking some frustration out on the wrong person.

I dont claim to be a paragon among TSers, given I'm relatively new to typesetting, and I'm doing everyhting including TS myself. This naturally means I sometimes overlook certain things. I'm always open to fixing my work when I see/am made aware that something's wrong. I'd just rather have that pointed out to me with civility if possible.

But eitherway, the advice is genuinely helpful, so thank you once again.
