This story feels like it's gonna boggle my mind the more I wrap my head around this. There's so many questions to every character's flaws that I can't imagine not getting pissed off at everyone here... MC here seems innocent(?) so it hurts to see him take responsibility and apologize for whatever because of it. Like I can't imagine that whatever he did to hurt her is justifiable to what he's going through? In a kind of way where any of the issues would've been solved with them communicating. Like how does the wife even show concern if he's hurt from the glass if she's putting him through that lifestyle? The story makes it sound like she's supposed to be redeemable but how...? None of this makes sense. I'm here just stuck on this miserable ride just to figure out what went wrong...

Just like watching a gruesome car crash... I'll just let this bake for a year... Or spoil me with how it's going now please.

That sounds weird in light of her calling him to apologize for chucking a glass cup at his head. And it wouldn't make sense to do the house partitioning, as if his abusive alter-ego would play along or even allow her to oppose his breaking the rules without getting killed or worse.

When you're living with an abuser for so many years, their nonsense logic becomes normal; it's always your fault, you deserved it, you should have done better, while the actual abuse you receive is not a big deal.
