I don't think he's saying that exactly could be because he saw them that close he might be reading into it more than he should. He does say that it should be fine, as long as they don't cause any trouble at school. If I were to chalk up his warning it'd be, "Girls and Boys are at that age where they really want to get involved with one another but doing so will affect their studies. As parents you should have spoken with her about what it means to have a boyfriend or girlfriend and what sort of emotions will pop up." From that I don't think he has a problem with them being friends, which he does say, but if they become lovers it'll affect them equally and hurt their time at school.

I had a friend with a controlling mother like this. It was pretty insane. Not surprisingly the mother was single though.
After he moved out, he cut all contact with her. When he got married she apparently wasn't even invited.
She wasn't as insane as she had to sleep in the same room as him though. At least that I know of.

I've written in a couple of other chapters, but I think we're dealing with a narcissistic personality disorder here and not a psychopathic or sociopathic. They might seem similar, but if you pay attention, there's distinctive differences. The important part is that she doesn't understand that she's doing wrong or that others might have different views on things.

I also think that she might have persecutory delusions. Her stalker is all in her imagination. But we'll have to wait and see I guess.
