He's the main reason why I cringe whenever I hear people talk about "immersion" cause I know way more people than I'll like to admit, a lot here on this very forum, who gets so "immersed" that they can't separate the characters from themself. Manga fandom is bad but they are a far cry compared to the gaming fandom.
He looks at this teenage character and sees himself or someone his age which is why he's constantly calling game protag a lolicon. He doesn't see the 1x however old the protag is, he sees the protag as someone his age. And to make it worse, he does the 2nd stupid shit that make me cringe "Reading/watching/playing something you hate but instead of finding something else continuing consuming that product and then complain that it doesn't serve your desires"
The writer of this is honestly amazing, just in the first chapter he poked fun of this mentality constantly. Even using the term "huge minority".
