hahaha wow she admitted that fast. Not even our MC has admitted that yet! Seriously though, when I first read the manga I was like, isn't the MC actually pretty tall, buff, and handsome? Why is he getting bullied into cleaning duty? Not only is he good looking but he's talented, diligent, and pure-hearted. Not faulting her for falling for him at all, he's a good one!

There's a really high chance that you already became aware of how this works, but on the minute off-chance that you never thought about this dilemma ["Why is this seinen and not shoujo"] ever again, here's the quick answer: The distinction between shoujo and seinen is the magazine in which it is printed. Most magazines try to approach one sector on the market, with "Shounen" being the clearly most financially successful and most fought over.
The reason this was picked up in a seinen magazine is probably because it features a guy as the main character. Sometimes it's as simple as that. Female MC is very important for a shoujo magazine, similar to how male MC is typically important for shounen stuff, especially power-fantasies. [Though there is a niche market for men in a girls body (Youjo Senki, gender change Isekais, etc.).]

Anyways, I hope this wasn't an entirely wasted comment.

Interesting point of the main character picked. I do prefer MCs of the same gender, so it makes sense. It do wonder what else made them think it would be successful in a Seinen magazine. Wish I could hear it straight from the people who made the decision.

@nobaka My mother was in a high level position in her previous company, something like a national trainer (basically trained managers for a corporation across the nation) and occasionally had to go out of state for some time. I spent a month and a half alone in my house back in high school (no father in the picture.) It's entirely possible but I think structurally it's more likely to happen in Japan than in a western nation

I love this. I don't feel comfortable with the game content containing rape and such thing, but aside from that crap it's a fairly vanilla relationship between the two. I like that the MC is not some perverted idiot who somehow finds himself somehow sexually harassing the girls by mistake, but is instead a careful and reserved guy. The girl isn't an asshole either, and so far has shown to be quite kind hearted and the perfect kind of girl for a more shy and reserved guy like MC.
