Yeah this is just like Nagatoro, when you announce the ending 2-3 chapters before the end, is not a good sign.

On the one hand stopping while you're on top is something I can respect and other mangas could stand to learn from this instead of dragging on until they become a desiccated husk barely resembling what they once were.
On the other however it feels less like quitting while you're ahead and more like it's stopping because of the author's personal circumstances.
Whatever it is and even though I would've liked to see more of the romance after they got together I quite enjoyed the ride. Gonna wait for the final volume to come out and give it a reread.

there's nothing i hate more than a romantic manga where the couple doesn't actually get to grow together once they are finally in a couple. Hey! now that we've beaten the blue balls/indecisive/thick dummy step and the MC finally acknowledges his love to the FemC and actually can do something out of that red herring we've been following for 50+ chapters! LET'S FUCKING END THE MANGA THERE!

What the FUCK is this Trashy ending? I have been waiting so much to see some progress in their relationship and the author wants to give us a shitty peaceful ending.

I am totally with you I just can't bear it after all these years, all the time I spent waiting is gone.
I really enjoyed the manga but the ending is killing me as if someone stabbed me in the back.
I can't relate with the people reading since the start, but I can definitely understand. I expected to see atleast 60-70 more chapters of this. This manga had so much potential left. All the backstories, the career of marin and gojo, their relationship after getting together, and what not. But what can be done, If the mangaka herself has health issues. Anyways, I enjoyed this manga so much. My first manga I completed tbh. I hope there are more peak series like this in the future.

Haven’t read the full manga yet, but it just completed today. Going to be sad once I finish reading it, I heard what happened near the ending but that’s something I don’t mind. Great series, hoping the anime does it justice.

First time watching this anime it on covid 19 and is my second time watching a anime after dr stone and then I forget it for a while but like accidently I saw it again on the recommended page and immediately reading the full manga as my memory start to comeback.Such a good time reading this manga hope the ss2 coming soon. This ending got me kinda ticked off😔
i loved this work, i read it since the beggining, for a second there i think gramps was unalive, but hes fine..... they are married, and gojo make marin a studio in the house... i love it... it was a good ending... i wanted to see the wedding tho, but its ok is a wholesome ending
she had health issues so it had to end it faster

I think the main issue that I had with it is that the two mains were good as a character couple, but they were not good individual characters, they don't really exist in the story without each other. This is why I was not surprised by the sudden ending because it was pretty obvious that once they became a couple all the tension and conflict was gone and there was nothing left for the story to do.
But anyway, 1000 times better than this author previous work, I am actually surprised no one has mentioned it before because it was weird as fuck.
