Guy has his head so far stuck up his own arse he has trouble seeing properly, so he makes up his own scenarios where he is the hero and everybody else sucks, so when reality came crashing down, he has trouble reconciling his own delusions with what actually happened.

Man, translation could really use some proofreading. Also, what's with the constant "ion" skills? It's アイアン (iron) in raws, not イオン (and that's besides the fact that ion makes no sense in a fantasy setting).
