Well, most likely that is just going to refer to her jealousy, and running away from her is "killing it".

But it would certainly be way more interesting if she was truely yandere and is running away to escape those thoughts/protect mc from herself.

That this is reminding me of flowers that bloom in days of yore in vibes IS giving me some hope that maybe, that really is the case.
