The theme of this story is finding out what expression of art is valuable to each individual. MC loves nudes, and he's presented with different concepts of defining the "best" version. OTOH this is a manga, and selling manga is easier with cute girls in it. It's both a practical reality to the manga business and a meta-commentary on "why draw nude$?"
Shout out to Gal Nipa for including more variety in the tits depicted, at least.
"Idealized" bodies are a feature of all media, not just manga, not just this manga. Chalk it up to the commodification of the spectacle. I too would like to see more art about tits that are crappy.I agree with you, but I just have an issue here: all the persons Haro wants to paint are beautiful girls. No boys, no lady with atypical body. So it kinds of disprove what you just said, since currently, making a beautiful nude seems to imply painting a beautiful body.
And that's actually pretty contrary to all the people I know, who are painter or followed art schools (and I know many), ever told me. According to them, people with perfect body are usually boring to draw, while people with weird body are fun and expressive.
I guess that's why Haro as a character is starting to annoy me.

That's what the magazines want you to think, but there are plenty of body types in Japan, as in any country.Well he is in Japan not America. So all girls and adult women there are slim and fit. It is realistic.
