Only Maki probably pushes her a little. The others just observe and not interfere. She is probably just waiting for him to ask. I miss those initial chapters where she now and then asks him if he has a crush on her and he gives silly replies.

Tbh realistically speaking i don't see him defeating her at all. Maybe by Romcom/shounen logic maybe he'll get gud enough to beat her within a few months. But at this point i just want more fluff back and less drama
