I'm actually curious as to why so many people are so against Yuri to begin with.
Are they heavily religious?
Does it remind them of their own insecurities when they see Yuri?
Are they just horrible people who hate it for the sake of hating it?
At least Yuri these days in Manga or Novels are more pure than Boy/Girl relationships these days.
It usually just for the most part is a perverted guy with a lot of panty shots for most I find.
Is the main reason I'm enjoying this manga so much.
It's adorable, which is a rarity for the most part.

Yuri and Yaoi is unrelatable to everyone except its small fandoms. Why is it that whenever someone expresses that fact, the fandoms get defensive? Let people voice their own opinions instead of criticizing and calling them "homophobes".

I find "yuri" (that's an inappropriate name but whatev) adorable but at the same time I understand whoever finds it unrelatable or simply does not like it. Whoever insults you for not liking it is an idiot, but whoever finds two extra pages translated from twitter "some two bit characters not even part of the series" and a lost focus of the main story is only an ungrateful and disrespectul person towards the translators...

The only possible solution to your non-problem is mind reading or perhaps a questionnaire. Have you never been in unrequited love? Have you never been in love with someone you weren't sure if they felt the same way? Have you never had someone confess to you or merely flirt, who you had to let down?

All of the above has happened to me, for both sexes. It is absolutely normal, and part of growing up well into adulthood. You can't predict how someone else feels, and it is not predatory behaviour to take a risk and follow your heart (or libido). Take into account that these are school age kids figuring out their sexuality and how to express it, and I have to wonder how your sexuality developed at all, assuming it did.

I'm not saying you can't be creeped out by it, but it is wildly inaccurate to call it predatory. Especially so in reference to single incident. "Predatory" carries implications of repeat instances with multiple victims. It also carries a notion of intent to cause harm, or at the very least harm being caused. Feeling creeped out is not harm.

Oh no no no. Sorry, I think what I wrote wasn't clear. It wasn't that she's being written as a predatory gay archetype, it's more a reaction to the other girl's reaction; where she's like "No I don't want to walk home with you" with the inherent fear of gay people that they are predatory or always perverts or whatnot. Just complaining about having a gay character show up and their friend's immediate reaction to be "Ew, I don't like the way you're looking at me cause you might r-r-rape me"

Ahh, I see. I still disagree, I think the implication is that she doesn't want to go home with her because the look she has is out of place, and that she's not even aware her friend is gay.

Just my take on some things.

1. Not liking yuri/yaoi because you aren't gay is pretty normal (especially if you are the same gender as the theme). You know the word "normal" is just analogous with 'common' right? In other words, you're vastly outnumbered by default, i.e. not well represented. There's nothing right or wrong about it. So when people complain, I know it's hard but try and remember this. I also love shoujo ai, but I know it's not something every girl is going to want to see in their manga.

2. I don't feel like the extra is out of place. I consider this to be his "writing style" at this point, A universe that is always expanding. lol

3. I'm surprised someone took the word "predatory" offensively. I immediately understood what the user meant when he posted that, I guess there are some terms that aren't too well known yet. (It means she is a chaser in romance, similar to Takagi-san but it's more like she is very forward to the point of teasing, rather than teasing out of habit.) People use the word for gyarus a lot.
