I don’t understand Fang-chan and College Boys-chan beef on page 1.
Temple = buddhism
Shrine = shintoism

Late answer, but those two things arent really the same. Buddhism is focused around your soul and the afterlife, while Shintoism the spiritual of this world and life itself.
Also in Shintosim you have over 8 million gods, while Buddhism hasnt any God at all.

At least if I understood your question correctly.
