This is really starting to tick me off. These people literally kidnapped Nike, drugged her, consistently threaten her and demean her, and she still acts the sympathetic. Not to mention the entire populace, no matter how kind, apparently despise everyone in the capital regardless of circumstance. If this arc ends in Livi coming around again and solving their problems, I'm seriously considering dropping this.

I agree--she is really starting to piss me off with how easily she acquiesces to other rulers who are forcibly subjugating her. So much for her love of Livi; she barely kicks up a fuss with whatever plan is against her so long as there is an attractive and caring male in the lead. The only female Livi has gotten close to is Cassandra, but he did so only for Nike's sake and at the risk of his life. Clearly Nike has serious difficulty with Stockholm syndrome--she fell in love with Livi only because he was the first to "kidnap" her. If it had been any of the other princes/dukes to kidnap her it is hard to argue she wouldn't have fallen in love with them too. It is really killing the story. I am starting to root for her suffering and Livi dumping her.

oh good Nike got kidnapped (again) plus drugged and sexually harassed but now that her kidnapper/harasser is shown to be a good person "deep down" to his citizens its fine, its fine normalizing this behavior of forgiving the worst people is fine

omg I was fine with the Desert prince for he was pressured by his people , and than Jishi towards crossdressing Levi for while he was pushy he didn't force himself (but the author knew both were boys so that probably helped with the boundaries on their date) but this Duke is the worst!!
