I mean this is getting a bit repetitive... everyone hates the sun king so they use all means to get to him like hurting the people he cares about. We got it already.
There's absolutely no moving foward in this story cause new enemies and new ordeals keep popping up. We got some back story and Livi's character improved a tiny bit. But on the other hand Nike's character seems like it's being completely ignored/overlooked, she used to be a strong character that fought hard for what she believed and she had "cool powers". Now not only did they take her power away but they've also turned her into a weak woman that spends most of her time with a frightened look on her face.

@uMoonlight I wholeheartedly agree to everything you said. It's getting very hard to read the story. It started around that crap with nephero and his duchy... I actually stopped reading for a good 10 chapters because i just couldn't stand to read in that period of chapters, so i pooled up and waited for some redemption.

Yeea, yea, yea, everyone hates Livius, the villain is so pitiful and justified because they have had a shitty life and have lots of responsibilities, and has these grand goals which may or may not be altruistic or positive if they "get done the right way" and some modicum of fault lies with the protagonist, get on with it. No one gives a shit and this poorly done backstory doesn't make anyone empathize with *INSERT ARC VILLAIN HERE*.
Unlike SoLs where repetitive story telling can be enjoyable, contrived melodrama utilizing cheap plot tools set a sense of stakes, like amnesia, kidnapping or whatever else, are not often enjoyable and more likely than not, just plain irritating. And in a story driven romance drama like this, progress is kind of actually important. Instead, these last 70 fucking chapters have been the same arcs with different skins, which upon their completion, hit a restart button and insert the same arc with a new skin, with largely no significant positive changes. If anything has happened thusfar in the story, Livius has become a worse king because of Nike, and Nike has become even more annoying a bleeding heart.
Each arc is getting progressively more stupid and annoying; this end of the world bullshit and Livius having to save someone he's wronged because he understands can just fuck off. As can this bullshit hostage crap that this author seems to have a fetish for. I've been done with this kidnap bullshit since the sand prince, and now it's been how many years and how many chapters of the same damn thing?
What's unbearable is how thoroughly this manga has ruined itself.
