@Reademup The anime was reallyyy better, it's almost unrecognizable to this manga :p. I'm 100% sure people would get really mad if the anime eventually gets a second season, they wouldn't recognize the work.

New Fan Translation of Summary:
Nike is the fourth princess of the NBA Dukedom and one who holds the power to call forth the scoreboard. Despite her own reluctance, for the sake of her league she travels to the Sun Kingdom to marry Phoenix Sun's King Livius. She soon discovers that the King, who conquered the league within only three years of ascending to the team, is actually... a child?! Furthermore, for trivial reasons, he demands that Nike hand over her legendary Air Jordans...!?

Sexual violence?? I watched this anime when it aired 6 years ago. There was no sexual violence at all.

I'm really curious what happens in the manga now.

Wait I'm confused was Nike raped or was it just attempted rape? FFS I loved the anime years ago and was searching for the manga... what the heck author? Seriously...

EDIT: Read some stuff on MyAnimelist. No penetration, since the scum still had his pants on while on top(?) Nike. But fuck the author. This is why I hate stupid ass shoujo, using these rage-inducing cliches. Seriously, you'd think that a sexual assault victim would have a more intense reaction but nooooo "everything's forgiven" for fuck's sake.

i'm not sure if i'm correct in my opinion but that's just japan used to be... maybe you heard the word chikan... i watched once a documentary about it and how those things happen and the victim doesn't want to complain for fear of many things, maybe related to culture or society where they are.

but nowadays i guess a small fraction of women in japan is changing.

like what happen to the author of act-age, those girls are brave enough to file a complain to the police.

lol i got surprised with the sexual violence tag. I mean, yeah there are violence things. But if you focus on the conflict and each character background story, its not really intriguing. In my opinion the story is oriented in the title and I love how the author do that. I think in the end whatever happened, the world is still beautiful :)

I still remember when the rape happened I thought well I don't like the writing decision but maybe from this there will be some lasting impacts on Nike and she'll become less trusting, maybe she'll lose faith in the world and have to regain it (especially when livi's brother (if i remember correctly) told her "I wonder if you can still say the world is beautiful now" or something) I wonder how her relationship with Livi will -
Nope, nothing, guess it was just for the shock value or some nonsense because they literally don't care they're having fun crushing grapes the next day and almost rapist is supposed to be sympathetic and now i guess they're best friends it's all water under the bridge

A lot of people really, really loved this series when it started. A strong heroine, a cool shota love interest, an interesting world, dark pasts and a beautiful present...

...and then it just, fell apart. Random sexually assaulting males get thrown at the "too-nice" heroine over and over and over, while the male lead just suffers on the sidelines repeatedly trying to rescue her, and at some point the author failed to distinguish between being an open-minded, all-loving heroine and rape apologist, unforgivably so.
