That math at least makes it sound "not illegal". A six year age gap at 23 isn't much of anything. It'd be really concerning if they like got married as soon as he turned 18 or even 20. Like if they waited that long, I can file away the comment (of him at fourteen) as just fun teasing about an early crush on an older woman. You know, as long as the Manga doesn't CONSTANTLY bring that up. I hope it just wanted to establish an "older wife, younger husband" vibe as heavy handily as possible.
