Not gonna lie, that tragedy tag gave me serious anxiety and my heart was pounding for the past couple chapters. Thank goodness for a happy ending.

Those people recover from surgery, and are able to reuse limbs they didn't have for years surprisingly fast o_o

This was some real good stuff.
And though it ended, it ended both perfectly and at the perfect number of chapters. Didn't drag it out using pointless tragedy

I was not the one who added the tragedy tag, but it sure was more thrilling this way.

@Xari

I was happy to work on this series. =)

Well, I'll need to rest for a week or so for the starters. Then here are the options:

1) If I'll ask Suzumi sensei nicely, if I can translate it and she'll agree. Still probably gonna need a 5$ donation for this, I'm broke.
2) If it ever becomes free.
3) If the raws will appear on my PC in some mysterious way.

@tantei_metal

Yes, you are right, but I don't know how to do it.

Don't you hate it when they introduce magic just for a deus ex machina at the end?

Was kinda funny when Fuuka said "don't try to bloom in me".... "that's creepy" because at some point in Kaede's letter I thought it was kinda cute?? But this whole series has normalized the arm legs switching weird stuff.

Would love to see their fluffy day to day lives post series and would happily donate for that to happen.

I think I would have preferred a tragic ending.

It feels kind of weird to have a "happy end" now.

Limb transplants are magic! Except when they're not because ... because the author said so!
Couldn't she have given the heart back, kept Kaede's limbs and given Kaede her mothers' limbs? Like ... did all three absolutely have to be moved as a package deal or not at all?

thank you for your work!
i would guess most people like happy ending, but in this kind of tragic story, i would preferred also a tragic ending...

I guessed from the start when they revealed what the goal is. That it will end with the limbless girl giving up on it and they continue to live in this arrangement. It's kind of an annoying cliche I see a lot. Where something that someone has wanted and sought after for so long, finally gets it, they in the end decide against it. Could they not of used the mother's heart and limbs? I'm sorry, but this actually kind of annoys me that she never even got the one goal she had. It's not even explained as to why they can't use anything from the mother. Also, working in the black market and you struggle to find body parts? I feel this isn't right.

I really liked the story, but it's just so annoying it went with this path. The story isn't saying it's completed. So maybe something else might happen.

Edit: I'd also like to mention that the absurdity of the surgery. I could suspend my suspension of disbelief. But they are just constantly switching these limbs and heart back and forth. There is no way this isn't good for the limbs. I do think a sad/tragic ending might've fit this better, to be honest. Hell, I was expecting a twist at the end, where the mother wakes up, only to find that the limbs are missing. Maybe her tongue is too. But has been left at a hospital or on a street where someone found her. So she has to spend the rest of her days without her limbs and never able to say anything about what happened. You know, a horror twist. That or the daughter keeps the mother as some type of pet. Though I find that less likely.

Hell fucking YEAH! Let's goooooooo
I have just a small question that is irrelevant because i'm happy with things going like this, but why retrieving just her mother's heart? Couldn't they give Kaede the mother's limbs and let Fuuka keep Kaede's to to avoid this situation where she can't undergo transplant anymore?

I'm not an expert, considering that the limbs transplant is non existent in the real world... But, if it's like with a blood transfusion, it might be the situation where Kaede is an "ideal donor", which means she can transfer her organs to anyone, but accept only from other ideal donors.
