I never thought Deido to the one that actually wants to unleash them to the world. I know he doesn't care much, but damn

I don't think Deido wsnts to unleash the invaders at all. He just also doesn't *not* want to unleash them. He genuinely could not care either way, as long as he can keep painting. I'm pretty sure Deido knows that once he unleashes the invaders he can't really use them to paint anymore, so the way I see it "once i finish this painting, i'll release you" is the same as deido saying "once i finish this painting, i can finally die"
