Thats not different tho? Exactly the same here, not quite well explained, but thats obviously why his name is blacked out in the top spot, instead of "That the royal family of another country would rule over the empires own people" should more be like "That a royal family member of another country was the top student instead of one of the empires own people", but they obviously mean that?

Well, only little nitpicky it is certainly better explained in the novel that he was the top student in every discipline in the academy. Overall the manga doesnt do as well of a job as the novel to show that the MC isnt just lazy and lucky, but lazy and a bona fide genius (and a bit unlucky in his eyes... xD)

yep, when I first started the novels, I thought that Wein was planning to sell the kingdom purely so that he could be with Ninym
