Anyway. I don't think Kansei will die. He'll just be injured seriously. Thus, Shou is forced to evolve again, practicing more martial arts/ combat, and dedicate himself more to acting out as a shadow since Kansei will take a will to recover.

If the author killed Kansei, everyone would riot. The author would betray his own setting, and the narrative's one words, where the duo would become the most prosperous emperors the land has ever seen(dont remember the chapter but it was stated in one of them)

This doesn't make much sense, unless Kansei actually knew he hasn't got much time left (he's quite weak with bad lungs), and so he wasn't raising Shou as his shadow but as his replacement. That might not have been his plan from the very beginning when they met, they were very young, but it should have already been for a while. But who knows.
