I just can't say it enough.... I. REALLY. LOVE. THIS. MANGA! First time in years I've read something I enjoyed so such as this.

Also the hardtack meme was the exact same thing I was thinking, Max is awesome!

And thinking everything would be solved with power is not it either
Almost like maybe there's a middle ground. I didn't say she should've massacred them. All I said is that allowing yourself to be imprisoned for hundreds of years for some bullshit is definitely not something a hero should do.

Its not even bullshit, she took out a "small" loan and left it to grew on interest for over 80 years. Just because you're a hero doesn't mean you should not pay your debt. And besides, in the end she paid for it on another way, so everything is fine

The loan was taken out with the understanding that there would be no interest. It literally says that. The loan giver agreed to that. The new guy rescinded that agreement retroactively to force her to do something for him.
Thus, bullshit.

Freiren said she had a plan to repay him in the first place. Sometimes going with the flow and thinking of solutions without resulting to conflict is the way to go.

"A country would have gone under with this circumstances, but we are a company". That's a convinced capitalist statement if I ever saw one.
I don't get how a country couldn't get up from such a calamity though, japan does it all the time with its earthquakes and stuff.

I think we need to have fluid willing suspension of disbelief to enjoy this one. The whole slavery thing back to solving it with a single job didn't make sense to me. Or more like it's easy to predict she can give something of equal value with her powers.

In other words, we should've taken that as a joke, in my opinion.
