What a scum of a father, even after hearing this he still see his son as worthless and doesn't understand how he might just be good at someone non-combatence, what good are swordskills if there no one to make a sword that can not break upon using said skills
Typical of the muscle-headed-moron characters. Same type of noble who gauges recipients of the "Hero" title by their ability to swing a sword and the size of their biceps.

"Blaming your son is also part of the plan! I never asked for that!!"

Wait, shouldn't it be "not part of the plan?"

Regardless, seeing this guy getting metaphorically kicked in the teeth is a highlight of my day.
^This. From the flow of the dialogue, I was expecting either "...blaming your son was not part of the plan!", or "Blaming your son was part of your plan?". I think either would've worked.

MC is a forbidden topic..? Did one of the empire's factions understand his potential?:thonk:
Maybe not fully, but there was an investigation into the Kingdom's Holy Sword, or whatever it was called. It's possible the Queen's investigators pieced together whatever bits and pieces of info they could about Thor's activities, and may at least have a reasonable hypothesis. In which case, some of them are probably kicking themselves for executing the plan at all, and are now about to throw Thor's father under the bus.

Wasn't there an investigation a while back as to why the general quality of equipment maintenance had dropped, and was discovered that Thor was doing the majority of the work before his exile.

Then again could be mixing this event up with another, very similar stories plotline.

I remember a scene like that, but I can't recall if it was in this manga or one of the many other copycats with teh same plot. I know that a scene like that happens in the series about the court blacksmith named Fake who ends up with the noble's daughter from a neighboring country and working there while pretending to be her fiance (even though she secretly actually really likes him) but I'm not sure if it's just that where I remember it happening or other series too.

I miss that series. The last two groups that were working on it fizzled out and it hasn't been touched in months.

What is more surprising to me is that... ALL of the things he did where in the span of 10 days... like no shit he is a taboo topic!. Imagine that you had someone with some really high value that you did not saw and sent him to your enemies as some token figure... I would be so upset and ashamed, i would chop off the head of the duke just to calm my nerves... the guy loosing the title is by far the best outcome for him

@TheOriginalBuss Page 13 small typo:

"Claiming credit for sending him to Demon Lord's territory is pointless"

Nope, just as the scum as the rest.
Keep close attention to minister being teacher of princess. He brainwashed her/mind controlling her to be obedient, it will be seen after fiasco that this subjugation will turn out. There also some implication that he somehow keeping her frail sister hostage. There will be needed context translation but this is general impression upon witnessing the raws.

As I said, so far. And I even stated I wonder if there will be likeable characters among the humans, as in that I am not convinced yet there will be, so am doubting him.
You spoiling was shitty, and you put confirmation outside the spoiler tag. So fuck you.

They now know that the MC was the only one able to repair and recharge their magic weapons beyond their limits. The royality knows that the now former duke sent their most valuable asset to the enemy, and pissed him off to the point there is no way to convince him to come back.
