That was the most underwhelming yet new/creative way to deliver a "orbital bombardment" I've seen in quite a while.

More of an orbital destruction then a bombardment.

My guess is the human government would be perfectly fine with him not seeking them out after this is all over.

More of an Orbital Strike, wasn't it? You'd normally expect more than one projectile from a bombardment.

Perhaps they just kept the same name after the technology evolved beyond requiring an actual bombardment. Less paperwork.
